| Expert training #1 | Strengths and weakness of physically-based models for flood simulation in urban areas (14th May 2025) – hybrid online/in-person event – Short description: Join us to learn more about state-of-the-art of physically-based flood models and where AI can help speed up and streamline our flood modelling. Experts from TU Delft, IHE Delft and TUHH will help us learn through interactive presentations and discussions. Free and open to all. Register here: Closed |
| ARTIFACT Summer school #1 | Summer School on AI-based urban flood risk models under climate change at IVI: this summer school will blend lectures devoted to theoretical concepts underlying AI-based flood models. It will be organised as 5-day event with interactive lectures and workshops. Special program will be organised for Early-Stage Researchers. Summer school will be free (with mandatory registration due to limited slots) and open to domestic or international researchers. Register here: Closed |
| Expert training #2 | The second expert training was held on 28 November 2025. Participants learned about data collection and processing workflows required for 2D flood simulations, as well as real-world applications of urban flood modelling tools such as MIKE+. The event helped participants strengthen their understanding of how reliable data and modern modelling tools support accurate flood simulations in urban environments. Experts from TU Delft, IHE Delft and TUHH guided the session through interactive presentations and discussions. Free and open to all.

| ARTIFACT Summer school #2 | The Summer School is a five-day programme in the Netherlands focused on AI-based urban flood risk modelling under climate change. Participants will engage in interactive lectures, hands-on workshops and group exercises covering AI methods for flood modelling, data preparation, model building and evaluation. The programme introduces modern deep-learning techniques, such as RNNs, CNNs, Graph Neural Networks and Transformers, and their application to urban drainage and flood prediction. Special program will be organised for Early-Stage Researchers. Summer school will be free (with mandatory registration due to limited slots) and open to domestic or international researchers.
