Blue-Green AI Hub Panel on AI and the Future of Engineering Education

How is artificial intelligence changing the skills and knowledge that future engineers will need?

This question was at the centre of the panel disscussion The Impact of AI on Engineering Education and the Development of Future Engineers, held at Science Technology Park Belgrade as part of the activities of the Blue-Green AI Hub within the ARTIFACT project.

The panel brought together Prof. Ana Deletić, Dr Jelica Cincović, Mihajlo Kovačević and Dr Anja Ranđelović, with Dr Veljko Prodanović as moderator.

The discussion focused on the new competencies emerging with the increasing use of artificial intelligence, how engineering education and academic programmes can adapt to rapid technological change, and what industry experts from future generations of engineers.

The event provided an opportunity to bring together perspectives from academia, research and industry and to discuss how AI is influencing the way engineers learn, conduct research and approach engineering problems.

The panel was organised in collaboration with the DIGIDRAIN project and represents one of the first activities of the Blue-Green AI Hub, established within ARTIFACT to support knowledge exchange, collaboration and dialogue around the application of AI in blue-green infrastructure and related fields.

Looking Ahead

More information about these events will be shared in due time. Stay tuned for more updates and results from the ARTIFACT project as it continues to develop intelligent, future-ready solutions for resilient infrastructure.
