Members of the ARTIFACT team visited Hamburg as part of the Administrative Staff Exchange activity, focusing on project management practices and the exchange of knowledge on grant acquisition and administration, project implementation, and administrative support for research and innovation projects.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to engage with representatives from the Finance Department at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), Tutech Innovation GmbH, as well as the Senate Chancellery of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. Discussions focused on technology transfer and intellectual property management, startup and innovation ecosystems, financial management of externally funded projects, and institutional approaches to supporting international collaboration.

The exchange highlighted the importance of strong administrative and project support structures, as well as collaboration between academia, industry, and public authorities in building sustainable and competitive research and innovation ecosystems.
